Berea Clerk of Courts Raymond J. Wohl is pleased to announce that the Berea Municipal Court has been awarded a grant from the Supreme Court of Ohio Technology Initiative in the amount of $27,000. This grant will be used to upgrade the Court’s computer system to work in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s E-Citation Program and the Ohio State Patrol.
“This award will allow the Court to upgrade hardware for faster access to our payment processing system for users. This also enables staff to process incoming citations in an expedited manner”, said Clerk of Courts Raymond. J. Wohl. “This is the fourth such award to the Berea Municipal Court, now totaling $121,000 in grant money dating back to 2015. These grants give the Court the ability to enhance and upgrade the delivery system. We are grateful to the Supreme Court of Ohio for implementing this program and giving the Court recognition for our project requests”, stated Wohl.
The Berea Municipal Court serves: Berea; Brook Park; Middleburg Heights; Olmsted Falls; Olmsted Township and Strongsville; as well as portions of Interstates 71 and 480, the Ohio Turnpike and the Cleveland Metro Parks.
